About the Lauritz Knudsen price lists
Lauritz Knudsen prices its range in separate lists, and this page holds the current edition of each — the newest effective 15 August 2026 — with earlier editions kept for comparison. The ESP and Exora covers state Maximum Retail Prices. This guide shows which list holds which product, how to read an MRP list, and what to ask a seller for.

Lauritz Knudsen publishes one list per part of its range. The names follow the covers of the PDFs above.
The Lauritz Knudsen price lists on this page
| Price list | What it is for |
|---|---|
| ESP | Electrical Standard Products, as the cover puts it: the switchgear and control range used in panels and industrial installations |
| Exora | Final Distribution Products: the breakers and distribution boards at the building end of a network |
| Agricultural electrical products | Products for agricultural installations, such as pump starters and their protection |
| Industrial signalling products | Push buttons, indicating lamps and the other signalling devices on a control panel |
| Retail products | The range sold over the counter by electrical retailers |
| LV wires | Low-voltage building wire |
If a part could sit in more than one list — a distribution product used on an industrial board, say — search each PDF for its part number. Compare quotations only when they are built on the same list and edition.
Lauritz Knudsen and the L&T name
Many buyers, and many older drawings and bills of materials, still refer to this range by the name of the business it came from: L&T's electrical and automation business. The price lists on this page are Lauritz Knudsen's own, and they are the ones a current quotation should be built on.
If a part number on an older drawing is not in the current list, do not assume it has simply been renamed. Look it up by its ratings — poles, current, breaking capacity, coil voltage — and confirm the current equivalent with a seller. Our guide to switchgear brand cross-referencing explains what has to match before a successor or an equivalent is accepted.
Reading an MRP list
The ESP and Exora covers state Maximum Retail Prices. Under India's packaged-commodity rules an MRP is the most a buyer can be charged, inclusive of all taxes. Three consequences follow:
- GST is already inside the figure. Do not add tax to an MRP. When a seller quotes a discount off MRP, ask whether their net rate is shown inclusive of GST or before it, and compare like with like.
- MRP is a ceiling, not a price. Trade buyers are normally quoted a discount off MRP, and the discount varies with the seller, the list and the quantity.
- Lists can differ in basis. Check the cover and terms page of every list you use; do not assume a list without the words “Maximum Retail Prices” is priced the same way.
Our guide to reading a switchgear quotation works through MRP, list price, discount and landed cost with an example.
Using the LV wire list
Wire is priced differently from switchgear. A wire list is laid out by conductor size and insulation, usually priced per coil of a stated length, and it moves more often than a switchgear list because copper does. When you compare quotations for wire, check that each is for the same cross-section, the same insulation grade and the same coil length, and that each is built on the same edition of the list. Our post on switchgear price increases explains why copper-heavy lines revise more often than the rest.
How often Lauritz Knudsen revises its lists
The editions table above shows several revisions in a single year, with most lists moving on a shared effective date and some moving on their own. A quotation should name the edition it is built on. If yours rests on an earlier edition than the one on this page, ask the seller whether the rate still holds, and approve inside its validity: a quotation that lapses can be re-issued at the new list.
Buying genuine Lauritz Knudsen products
Buy through Lauritz Knudsen's authorised channel, ask a new seller to show where the stock came from, and run the checks in our guide to verifying genuine switchgear on what arrives. A rate far below MRP less a normal trade discount is a reason to ask questions. For comparisons across makes, the Siemens and C&S Electric price lists are on this site too.
