About the Eaton Bussmann price lists
The Eaton Bussmann price list on this page took effect on 13 November 2025. It is a list of maximum retail prices for Bussmann fuses and fuse fittings, line by line with the material code, product group and pack quantity. This guide explains how to read a line, how to choose the right fuse, and what an MRP means for the rate you pay.

What the Eaton Bussmann list covers
The list prices Bussmann fuse links and the fittings that hold them, sorted by product group. Each row carries four things: the material code, the product group it belongs to, the MRP, and the pack or minimum order quantity.
A fuse is only half of a protection point: the fuse link and its fitting — the base, carrier or holder — are separate lines, and they must be of the same type and size. Price them together.
How to read a line in the Bussmann list
- Material code. The reference you order by. It identifies the fuse's type, size and current rating, so quote it exactly rather than describing the fuse.
- Product group. The family the line belongs to, such as fuse fittings, which is the quickest way to find related parts.
- MRP. The maximum retail price, inclusive of taxes, for the effective date on the list.
- Pack or minimum order quantity. How many come in a pack. Fuses are cheap per piece and sold in packs, so round each line up before comparing quotations.
Choosing the right fuse before you price it
A fuse that fits the holder is not necessarily the right fuse. Check each of these against the circuit:
- Utilisation category. gG fuses give general-purpose protection for cables and circuits; aM fuses give short-circuit protection for motors, leaving overload protection to the overload relay; semiconductor fuses protect drives, UPS and other power electronics, which need much faster clearing.
- Current rating, chosen for the circuit and its cable, not for the nearest size in stock.
- Voltage rating, at least the system voltage, AC or DC as the circuit requires.
- Breaking capacity, at least the prospective fault current where the fuse is installed.
- Size and form, matching the fitting it goes into.
Low-voltage fuses are made to the IS/IEC 60269 series. Our post on the 20 most used electrical components covers what to specify for switch-fuse units alongside the fuses in them.
Where a fuse still beats a breaker
Breakers have taken over most circuits, but fuses keep a place for good reasons, and the list is full of them:
- High breaking capacity in a small space. A fuse interrupts very large fault currents without needing a large frame.
- Current limiting. A fuse clears a heavy fault before the current reaches its peak, which protects what lies downstream from the full force of the fault.
- Protecting power electronics. Drives, UPS and rectifiers need clearing faster than most breakers can manage, which is the job semiconductor fuses are made for.
- Simplicity. A fuse has no mechanism to wear or calibrate, which suits switch-fuse units and isolation points that are rarely operated.
Replacing a fuse: like for like
When a fuse operates, replace it with the same type and rating, after finding out why it blew. A higher rating to stop a fuse blowing leaves the cable unprotected, and a general-purpose fuse in place of a semiconductor fuse will not protect a drive. Keep a stock of the exact material codes your panels use: a spare of the right type is worth more than a quick substitute.
MRP, GST and the rate you pay
The list states maximum retail prices. Under India's packaged-commodity rules an MRP is the most a buyer can be charged, inclusive of all taxes, so GST is already inside the figure. Trade buyers are normally quoted a discount off MRP, and when comparing quotations you should ask whether each net rate is shown inclusive of GST or before it. Our guide to reading a switchgear quotation explains landed cost in full.
Buying genuine Bussmann fuses
A fuse that does not interrupt at its rating is as dangerous as a fake breaker, and it gives no sign until the fault. Buy through Eaton's authorised channel, check the marking and packs against the list, and keep the invoice trail; our guide to verifying genuine switchgear sets out the checks. For switch-fuse units and changeover switches, see the Socomec price list on this site.
Questions about the Eaton Bussmann price list
Where can I download the Eaton Bussmann price list PDF?
On this page. The list effective 13 November 2025 is the card above and opens the maker's PDF in a new tab.
What is the difference between gG and aM fuses?
gG fuses protect against both overload and short circuit, for general circuits and cables. aM fuses protect motor circuits against short circuit only, leaving overload protection to the overload relay.
Is GST included in the Bussmann price list?
The list states maximum retail prices, which include all taxes. Ask whether a seller's discounted rate is shown inclusive of GST or before it.
Are fuse fittings priced separately from fuses?
Yes. The fuse link and the base, carrier or holder it fits into are separate lines, so price them together.
