About the EAPL price lists

The EAPL price list on this page is dated 1 April 2025 and headed “MRP — Standard Products”. It prices EAPL's timers and relays — on-delay, interval, cyclic, star-delta and multifunction timers and auxiliary relays — by series and model. This guide explains how to read a line, how to choose the right timer, and what an MRP means for the rate you pay.

What the EAPL price list covers

The list is a table of models, grouped into series, with columns for the model, its description, its supply voltage and its time range. The functions it covers are the ones a control panel uses every day:

How to read a line in the EAPL list

Each row carries what decides whether a timer suits the panel. Check all of them:

  1. Model and series, which set the housing, the mounting and the family of functions.
  2. Description, which names the function and the output contacts — the number of change-over contacts matters as much as the function.
  3. Voltage, the supply the timer's coil or electronics need, AC, DC or a wide-range supply.
  4. Time range, the span of times the timer can be set to; choose a range that puts your setting comfortably inside it, not at its edge.

Compare quotations on the same model, the same voltage and the same time range. A timer with a different range or supply is a different product, even when the function is the same.

Choosing the right timer for the job

Start from what the circuit has to do, not from the timer used last time. A delay before a motor or a heater comes on is an on-delay job; holding a fan on after a machine stops is an off-delay job; pulsing a lubrication pump or an agitator is a cyclic job; and starting a motor star-delta needs a star-delta timer, whose changeover gap prevents the star and delta contactors closing together. Then match the supply to the control circuit, the range to the setting, and the contacts to what the timer must switch. Our post on the 20 most used electrical components lists what to specify for timers and control relays.

MRP, GST and the rate you pay

The list is headed MRP. Under India's packaged-commodity rules an MRP is the most a buyer can be charged, inclusive of all taxes, so GST is already inside the figure. Trade buyers are normally quoted a discount off MRP, and when you compare quotations, ask whether each net rate is shown inclusive of GST or before it.

The list on this page is dated 1 April 2025. If a seller quotes on a later edition, ask for its date and keep it with the quotation. Our guide to reading a switchgear quotation explains how to compare rates on the same basis.

Buying genuine timers and relays

Small control devices are bought in numbers and fitted without a second look, which makes them easy to substitute. Buy through the maker's authorised channel, check the model and marking against the list, and keep the invoice trail; our guide to verifying genuine switchgear sets out the checks. For other makers' timers and controllers, the Selec price list is on this site, and for pilot devices the Teknic list.

Questions about the EAPL price list

Where can I download the EAPL price list PDF?

On this page. The list dated 1 April 2025 is the card above and opens the maker's PDF in a new tab.

What is the difference between an on-delay and an off-delay timer?

An on-delay timer switches its output after a set time from power-on. An off-delay timer holds its output for a set time after the control signal is removed.

Is GST included in the EAPL price list?

The list is headed MRP, and an MRP includes all taxes. Ask whether a seller's discounted rate is shown inclusive of GST or before it.

What is a star-delta timer?

A timer made for star-delta motor starters: it holds the motor in star while it runs up, then switches to delta after a short changeover gap, so that the two contactors never close together.

Which time range should I choose?

One that puts your setting well inside the range rather than at either end, where setting is least precise. If the time may need adjusting on site, leave room above it.

Can one multifunction timer replace several timers?

Often, yes: one multifunction timer can be set to any of its functions, which simplifies spares for a site with many panels. Check that it offers the function, range and contacts each panel needs.
