About the Finolex price lists
The Finolex price list on this page is the cables list dated 6 January 2026, printed as a list price — the maker's own PDF. Its cover groups the range into residential and commercial wire, communication cables, agricultural cables and automobile and solar cables. This guide explains each group, how a cable line is priced, and how to compare quotations.

What the Finolex cables list covers
The cover of the list sorts the range into four groups, and each is bought for different jobs.
The Finolex cable groups named on the price list cover
| Group | Examples on the cover | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Residential and commercial | Flame-retardant PVC wire, low-smoke and halogen-free wire, flexible single-core cable | Wiring for homes, offices and shops |
| Communication | Coaxial, telephone, CCTV, speaker and LAN cable | Data, video and audio runs in buildings |
| Agriculture | 3-core flat cable and PVC-insulated winding wire | Submersible pump installations |
| Automobile and solar | Auto cable and solar cable | Vehicles, and the DC side of solar installations |
Find the group first, then the line. Cables in different groups can share a size and still be entirely different products.
FR, FR-LSH and HFFR: what the insulation codes mean
Much of the price difference between two wires of the same size comes from the insulation, and the codes are worth knowing before you compare.
- FR — flame retardant. PVC insulation that resists spreading a flame.
- FR-LSH — flame retardant, low smoke and halogen. Gives off less smoke and fewer halogen gases in a fire, which matters in places people must leave quickly.
- HFFR — halogen-free flame retardant. Insulation with no halogens at all, specified where smoke and corrosive gases must be kept to a minimum.
Specify the grade the building or consultant requires, and never compare an FR quotation with an HFFR one as if they were the same wire.
Solar and agricultural cable: what to check
Two of the groups on the cover are bought for conditions ordinary building wire is not made for.
- Solar cable runs on the DC side of a solar installation, outdoors, in sunlight and heat for decades. Order cable made for that duty, at the system's DC voltage, and never substitute building wire to save on the rate.
- Flat cable for submersible pumps runs down a wet borewell to the motor, so its insulation and its size both matter; the pump maker's recommendation for the motor rating and depth is the place to start.
- Winding wire is not installation cable at all: it is the insulated wire used inside the motor itself, bought by motor rewinders and pump makers.
How to read a line in the Finolex list
Each line is defined by its cross-section in square millimetres, the number of cores, the insulation and, for house wire, the colour. House wire is usually priced per coil of a stated length, and communication cables per roll or box, so check the unit printed against each line before comparing two rates. For 3-core flat cable for pumps, the size follows the pump's rating and the length of the run down the borewell; a smaller size saves on the rate and costs on voltage drop.
Our post on the 20 most used electrical components covers what to specify for cable in an RFQ.
List price, GST and discount
The Finolex list is a list price, and a list price is normally before GST, which is added to the seller's net rate; confirm it in the list's terms. Sellers quote a discount off the list, and on cable it often depends on the quantity. Compare the landed rate — net rate plus freight, which is significant on heavy coils — and the dispatch date. Because cable lists move with copper, check the edition a quotation is built on; our post on switchgear price increases explains why, and our guide to reading a switchgear quotation covers landed cost.
Buying genuine Finolex cable
Check the sheath printing and the ISI licence number on house wire, compare the conductor's size and strand count with a genuine sample, and for large orders have the conductor resistance tested against IS 8130. Buy through Finolex's authorised channel, and see our guide to verifying genuine switchgear for the full sequence. For comparisons, the Polycab and Havells cable lists are on this site too.
Questions about the Finolex price list
Where can I download the Finolex price list 2026 PDF?
On this page. The cables list dated 6 January 2026 is the card above and opens the maker's PDF in a new tab.
Does the Finolex price list include LAN and CCTV cables?
Yes. Communication cables — coaxial, telephone, CCTV, speaker and LAN — are one of the four groups on the list's cover.
Is GST included in the Finolex price list?
The list is a list price, which is normally before GST; tax is added to the net rate. Confirm it in the terms printed in the list.
What is a 3-core flat cable used for?
Submersible pumps: it runs down the borewell to the pump motor. Its size follows the pump's rating and the length of the run.
What is the difference between FR and FR-LSH wire?
Both are flame retardant. FR-LSH also gives off less smoke and fewer halogen gases in a fire, which matters where people must leave a building quickly.
