buyelectrical is an informational website for VendorStocks.

It publishes blogs, manufacturers' price lists and product information, and shares information about the VendorStocks marketplace. Nothing is bought or sold here: accounts, RFQs, orders and payments all live on vendorstocks.com, under VendorStocks' own terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using buyelectrical. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SKYLIGHTS ENERGY (“we,” “our,” or “us”), the company that operates both buyelectrical and the VendorStocks marketplace. They govern your access to and use of buyelectrical, including its pages, blogs, price lists and all other content published on it (collectively, the “Website”).

By using the Website, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • If you use the Website on behalf of an organisation, you have the authority to accept these Terms for it
  • You agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy

2. About This Website

buyelectrical is an informational website for VendorStocks. It exists to publish information and share it with the people who buy and sell electrical goods, including:

  • Blogs and guides on electrical products, switchgear and procurement
  • Manufacturers' price lists, as the PDFs the makers publish
  • Product, category and brand information
  • Information about the VendorStocks marketplace and how to use it

Nothing is bought or sold on the Website. It has no accounts, no checkout and no payments, and it does not accept orders or requests for quotation. When you follow a link to browse products, raise an RFQ, sign up or book a demo, you leave the Website for vendorstocks.com, and your use of VendorStocks is governed by the VendorStocks Terms & Conditions, not by these Terms.

3. Relationship with VendorStocks

3.1 Backed by VendorStocks

The Website is owned and operated by SKYLIGHTS ENERGY, which also operates the VendorStocks marketplace at vendorstocks.com. The information on the Website is published for VendorStocks, and its links lead there.

3.2 VendorStocks Is a Technology Platform

VendorStocks is an intermediary technology platform as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. It connects independent buyers and sellers but is not a party to the transactions, contracts, or commercial agreements formed between them.

3.3 Direct Contracts Between Users

When a buyer accepts a quotation or issues a purchase order on VendorStocks, and a seller acknowledges or fulfils that order, a direct legal contract is formed between the buyer and the seller — not with VendorStocks, and not with the Website.

3.4 No Endorsement

A maker, seller or product named on the Website is named for information. That is not a guarantee, endorsement, or warranty regarding the product, the maker, or any seller's financial standing or business conduct. Seller verification on VendorStocks performs baseline document checks and is not an endorsement either. Perform your own due diligence before transacting.

4. Price Lists and Product Information

4.1 Manufacturers' Documents

The price lists on the Website are the manufacturers' own published documents, reproduced for reference as the makers issued them. Their contents, prices and terms are the makers', not ours.

4.2 Not an Offer or Quotation

A list price is not an offer to sell, a quotation, or a net price. Actual prices, discounts, taxes, freight, availability and delivery terms are set by the seller when they quote on VendorStocks, and may differ from any published list.

4.3 Accuracy and Currency

Makers revise their price lists, often without notice. We do not warrant that a price list on the Website is the current edition, or that any price, specification or product information on the Website is accurate or complete. Where we hold more than one edition of a list, the older ones are marked “Earlier edition”. Verify prices and specifications with the maker or the seller before you rely on them.

4.4 Trademarks

Brand names, logos and marks shown on the Website, including those on price list covers and product photographs, belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply that the owner endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with the Website or VendorStocks, or that we or any seller on VendorStocks is an authorised dealer of that brand.

5. Blogs and Informational Content

Blogs, guides, and category and product information on the Website are provided for general information. You acknowledge that:

  • Informational content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and may go out of date
  • It is informational only and does not replace professional judgment or the manufacturer's own documentation
  • Electrical equipment must be selected, installed and maintained by qualified persons, in line with applicable Indian standards and regulations
  • You are responsible for verifying any technical or commercial information before acting on it
  • We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of content published on the Website

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or to the systems that host it
  • Upload or introduce malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage the Website
  • Use the Website in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair its servers
  • Use automated scraping or data extraction tools to copy the Website's content in bulk without our written permission (search engines indexing the Website are welcome)
  • Republish, frame or mirror the Website or its content, or present it as your own
  • Misrepresent your identity, or claim an affiliation with buyelectrical or VendorStocks that you do not have
  • Use the Website's name, the VendorStocks name, or our contact details to impersonate us or to deceive others

Violations may result in your access being blocked, and we may report serious violations to law enforcement.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

SKYLIGHTS ENERGY and its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Website — including its design, text, illustrations and code, and the “buyelectrical” and “VendorStocks” names and marks. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding.

8.2 Your Licence to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to view the Website and to download its price lists for your own reference and internal business use.

8.3 Third-Party IP

Manufacturers' price lists and logos, and the marks on product photographs, remain the property of their owners. If you believe content on the Website infringes your rights, write to us at support@skylightsenergy.in. We respond to credible infringement notices and may remove the content concerned.

9. Data and Privacy

Our collection, use, and protection of information about visitors to the Website is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Our Security page sets out how we protect the Website and how to report a vulnerability.

10. Warranties and Disclaimers

The Website is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
  • Any price list, price, specification, or other information on the Website is accurate, complete, or current
  • Any product named on the Website will meet your requirements or expectations
  • Any seller on VendorStocks will fulfil their obligations

You are responsible for verifying all information before acting on it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities — arising out of or in connection with the Website or your reliance on its content, including its price lists, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

The Website is provided free of charge. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Website shall not exceed INR 5,000.

This limitation does not apply to liability arising from:

  • Gross negligence or wilful misconduct
  • Fraud
  • Statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, that cannot be waived
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SKYLIGHTS ENERGY, VendorStocks, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Website
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of applicable law
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights (IP, privacy, contract)

13. Availability and Changes to the Website

We aim to keep the Website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website — including adding, replacing, or removing price lists, blogs, or other content — at any time, with or without notice.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction and laws of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with proceedings:

  • Conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the parties
  • Conducted in English
  • Seated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding on both parties.

14.3 Jurisdiction

Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matters not subject to arbitration.

15. Grievance Officer

In compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021, the Grievance Officer for buyelectrical and VendorStocks can be reached at support@skylightsenergy.in.

The Grievance Officer will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days of receipt.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continued use of the Website after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with them, you must stop using the Website.

17. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Website. Your use of VendorStocks is governed by its own terms.
  • Severability: If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, pandemics, government action, internet outages, etc.).
  • Notices: Notices to us must be sent to support@skylightsenergy.in.
  • Relationship: Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and us.
  • Language: These Terms are in English. Any translation is for convenience only; the English version controls in case of conflict.
