buyelectrical is an informational website for VendorStocks.

It publishes blogs, manufacturers' price lists and product information, and shares information about the VendorStocks marketplace. Nothing is bought or sold here: accounts, RFQs, orders and payments all live on vendorstocks.com, under VendorStocks' own terms.

SKYLIGHTS ENERGY (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates buyelectrical (the “Website”), an informational website for VendorStocks — the B2B and B2C platform we run at vendorstocks.com, connecting buyers and sellers of electrical switchgear and components. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Website collects, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using the Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 No Accounts, No Forms

The Website has no sign-up, no login, no checkout and no forms. You can read every page, blog and price list on it without telling us who you are.

1.2 Usage Data

When you visit the Website, the servers that deliver it automatically record standard request information — your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, the page or file requested, the referring page, and the time of the request. We use it to deliver the Website, keep it secure, and diagnose issues.

1.3 Your Theme Preference

If you switch between the dark and light themes, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the Website remembers it on your next visit. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser's settings.

1.4 Communication Data

If you email us, call us, or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you send — your name, email address or phone number, and the content of your message — and retain it to respond, provide support, and keep a record of the conversation. Messages sent over WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

1.5 Information You Give VendorStocks

When you follow a link from the Website to vendorstocks.com — to browse products, sign up, raise an RFQ, or book a demo — anything you provide there, including account details, verification documents, business and transactional data, and payment information, is collected by VendorStocks under the VendorStocks Privacy Policy, not this one. Some of those links carry a tag telling VendorStocks that you arrived from buyelectrical. The tag identifies the Website, not you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver, operate, and maintain the Website
  • Keep the Website secure, and detect, investigate, and prevent abuse such as automated attacks
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve the Website's pages and content
  • Respond to your questions, requests, and messages, including requests for a demo of VendorStocks
  • Comply with legal obligations under Indian law

We do not use the Website to build advertising profiles, and we do not send you promotional messages unless you have asked us to.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use trusted third-party services that process data on our behalf — our website hosting and delivery provider, the cloud storage that holds the price list PDFs, and our email and messaging services.
  • Within VendorStocks: If you contact us about the marketplace — for example to book a demo — your message is handled by the VendorStocks team, which SKYLIGHTS ENERGY also operates.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by Indian law, court order, regulatory authority, or government agency — including for tax investigations or law enforcement requests.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, the information described in this policy may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent: We may share information with third parties when you have explicitly consented.

4. Cookies and Tracking

The Website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. Its fonts, images, and code are served from the Website itself, so loading a page does not send your information to any other service. The only thing it stores on your device is the theme preference described in section 1.3.

vendorstocks.com uses cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, as set out in VendorStocks' own policies.

5. Data Security

We protect the information we hold with industry-standard measures:

  • The Website is served over HTTPS, so information is encrypted in transit
  • It has no accounts, forms, or database of visitors, so there is little personal data on it to protect
  • Access to server logs and to the messages you send us is restricted to the people who need it
  • Price lists are published only from our own storage

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Our Security page has more. If you discover a security vulnerability, please contact us immediately at support@skylightsenergy.in.

6. Data Retention

Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and diagnostics, and are then deleted. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation, and are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to statutory retention requirements)
  • Objection: Object to certain types of processing, including marketing communications
  • Withdrawal: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for the businesses and professionals who buy and sell electrical goods. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

9. Third-Party Websites

The Website links to vendorstocks.com, to WhatsApp, and to VendorStocks' profiles on LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram. When you follow one of those links you leave the Website, and the privacy policy of the site you arrive at applies to what it collects.

10. Marketplace Disclaimer

No transaction takes place on the Website. VendorStocks operates as a technology platform that connects independent buyers and sellers of electrical components and switchgear, and is not a party to the transactions, contracts, or agreements formed between them. Buyers and sellers transact with each other directly and at their own risk. Our Terms & Conditions set out the Website's position in full.

11. International Data Transfers

The Website is delivered through a global hosting network, so a request may be served from outside India. Where information is processed outside India, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top tells you when it last changed. Your continued use of the Website after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
