About the Teknic price lists
The Teknic price list on this page covers its control and signalling devices in the Ø 22.5 mm metal series, priced as MRP with effect from 10 February 2026. These are the push buttons, emergency stops, selector switches and indicating lamps on a control panel's door. This guide explains how to read a line, how to order complete units, and what the colours mean.

What the Teknic list covers
The list is for one series: control and signalling devices that mount in a 22.5 mm hole, with metal bezels. The cover shows the range — key-operated selectors, mushroom-head emergency stops, coloured push buttons and pilot lamps — and the marks the series carries.
Metal-bezel devices are chosen for heavy-duty and industrial panels, where they take more abuse than plastic ones. If you need a plastic series, ask a seller for the matching list; this page holds only the metal series.
Complete unit or parts: how to read a line
A pilot device is built from an operator on the front of the door and a contact block or lamp holder behind it. Lists often price both the complete unit and the separate parts, so check which a line is before comparing:
- Operator. The push button, mushroom head, selector or lamp lens, by type, colour and marking.
- Contact block. Normally open or normally closed, and how many; a selector or a push button may need more than one.
- Lamp. For indicating lamps and illuminated push buttons, the supply voltage and whether the lamp is LED.
- Complete unit. Operator, contact block or lamp and mounting assembled under one reference.
A quotation that prices operators alone is not comparable with one that prices complete units.
What the colours mean
Colours on a control panel follow conventions, set out in standards such as IEC 60204-1 for machinery and IEC 60073 for indication:
- Red for emergency and stop, and for indicating danger.
- Yellow for abnormal conditions, and as the background behind an emergency stop.
- Green for normal conditions and, by common practice, start.
- Blue for an action the operator must take.
- White, grey and black for functions with no assigned meaning.
An emergency stop is a red mushroom head on a yellow background that latches when pressed and must be released deliberately. Order it as an emergency stop device, not as a red push button.
Indicating lamps and illuminated push buttons
For anything that lights up, the supply voltage is part of the product. Specify the voltage the lamp will see — the control circuit's AC or DC voltage, or a dedicated indication supply — and check it against the line, since a lamp for one voltage will fail or stay dark on another. LED lamps last far longer than filament lamps and draw less, which is why most panels now use them; replacing them is still easier if every lamp on a site uses the same voltage and type.
Ordering pilot devices for a panel
- List every device on each door from the general arrangement drawing, by function.
- For each, specify the operator, colour, legend, contacts and, for lamps, the voltage.
- Decide complete units or parts, and price every line on the same basis.
- Add spares of the common colours and contact blocks.
Our post on the 20 most used electrical components lists what to specify for push buttons and indicating lamps alongside the rest of a panel.
MRP, GST and the rate you pay
The cover states MRP. Under India's packaged-commodity rules an MRP is the most a buyer can be charged, inclusive of all taxes, so GST is already inside the figure. Panel builders buy pilot devices in quantity and are normally quoted a discount off MRP; ask whether each quotation's net rate is shown inclusive of GST or before it. Our guide to reading a switchgear quotation explains landed cost in full.
Buying genuine Teknic devices
An emergency stop that does not latch or break its circuit is a safety failure, not a cosmetic one. Buy through Teknic's authorised channel and check what arrives against our guide to verifying genuine switchgear. For signalling devices from another make, see the Lauritz Knudsen industrial signalling list, and for terminal blocks the Connectwell list.
Questions about the Teknic price list
Where can I download the Teknic price list 2026 PDF?
On this page. The 22.5 mm metal series list, priced as MRP with effect from 10 February 2026, is the card above and opens the maker's PDF in a new tab.
Does the Teknic price list include GST?
The list is priced as MRP, which includes all taxes. Ask whether a seller's discounted rate is shown inclusive of GST or before it.
What size hole do Teknic metal series devices need?
The series is Ø 22.5 mm, the common panel-mounting size for push buttons, selectors and indicating lamps.
What colour should a start push button be?
Green, by common practice, with red for stop. An emergency stop is a red mushroom head on a yellow background.
Is an emergency stop the same as a stop button?
No. An emergency stop latches when pressed and must be released deliberately, and it breaks its circuit by a positive mechanical action. A stop button returns when released. Order an emergency stop as its own device.
