About the Havells price lists

This page holds Havells' consumer cables price list — the newest edition dated 14 May 2026 — with the Crabtree switches and STADx lists beside it, each the maker's own PDF and each printed as a list price. This guide explains what each list covers, how wire and switch lines are priced, and how a list price becomes the rate you pay.

The three Havells price lists on this page

Havells' wider switchgear and appliance ranges have lists of their own that are not on this page. If the product you need is not in these three, ask a seller which Havells list their quotation is built on.

How house wire is priced in the Havells list

A wire list does not read like a switchgear list. Each line is defined by the conductor's cross-section in square millimetres, the number of cores, the insulation and, often, the colour, and house wire is usually priced per coil of a stated length rather than per metre. To compare two quotations for wire:

  1. Check that both are for the same cross-section — 1.5, 2.5 and 4 sq mm are not interchangeable, and the circuit's load and protection decide which you need.
  2. Check the insulation grade. Flame-retardant, low-smoke and halogen-free variants are different products at different prices.
  3. Check the coil length each rate refers to, and convert to the same basis before comparing.
  4. Check the edition. Wire lists move with copper, so a quotation built on an older edition may not hold.

Never choose a smaller cross-section to save on a rate: the conductor size follows the circuit, not the price list. Our post on the 20 most used electrical components sets out what to specify for cable.

Pricing Crabtree switches for a building

Wiring devices are priced part by part. A switch module, the plate it sits behind and the frame or box behind that are usually separate lines, and finishes are priced differently. Price a complete point — module, plate and support — rather than the switch alone, and count the points from the drawing rather than from the last site. Two quotations that price the switch alone are not comparable with one that prices the finished point.

List price, GST and discount on Havells orders

All three covers state a list price with its effective date. A list price is normally the figure before GST, which is added to the seller's net rate; confirm it in the terms pages of each PDF. Sellers then quote a discount off the list, and the discount varies with the list, the product and the quantity, especially on wire, where volume orders are common.

Compare the landed rate — net rate, freight and payment terms — and check that each quotation names the edition it uses. Our guide to reading a switchgear quotation works through a comparison, and our post on switchgear price increases explains why copper-heavy lines such as cable are revised more often than the rest.

Buying genuine Havells cable and switches

House wire is a product where substandard copies are a real risk: a conductor smaller than the size printed on the sheath, or fewer strands than the standard requires, carries less current than its label promises. Buy through Havells' authorised channel, check the sheath printing and the ISI licence number, and for large orders have the conductor tested. Our guide to verifying genuine switchgear covers the checks for cable as well as devices. For comparisons, the Polycab and Finolex price lists are on this site too.

Questions about the Havells price list

Where can I download the Havells wire price list 2026 PDF?

On this page. The newest consumer cables list, dated 14 May 2026, is the first card above, with its earlier edition and the Crabtree and STADx lists beside it. Each opens the maker's PDF in a new tab.

Is the Havells price list per coil or per metre?

House wire is usually priced per coil of a stated length. Check the unit printed against each line, and convert two quotations to the same basis before comparing them.

Is GST included in the Havells price list?

The covers state list prices, which are normally before GST; tax is added to the net rate. Confirm it in the terms pages of the edition you are using.

What is Havells STADx?

A Havells range its price list cover calls “Smart Technology Advantage”, pictured with distribution boards and modular devices. It has its own list, effective from the date on the cover.

Why does the Havells wire price list change so often?

Wire is mostly copper, and copper prices move. Cable lists are revised more often than switchgear lists for that reason, so check the edition before you accept a rate.
